Chippewa Nature Center Incredible Insects Fieldtrip
When: Friday, September 25th from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Where: Chippewa Nature Center 400 S Badour Rd Midland, MI 48640- Visitor's Center
Details: This program focuses on the characteristics, diversity and importance of insects. Students will learn basic characteristics and life cycles, and will try their hand at collecting insects in different ecosystems.
This program is for grades Kindergarten-4th. Unfortunately, we cannot have younger siblings join, as the program is not designed for preschool or younger. We will be splitting into groups of about 10 students and a few adults. Parents who have younger children are welcome to hang out in The Woods Play Area or hike the trails while the older kids do the fieldtrip program. All parents must remain on site for the duration of the fieldtrip. This is not a drop off program. CNC staff will lead the program, and HighPoint parents who don't have younger children in attendance will be joining them on the trails. If

What to wear: Dress for the weather. Rainboots or shoes that can get muddy are recommended. Please bring a change of clothes for the car ride home, as we tend to get messy on these fieldtrips.
